The Truro club has relocated to Truro High school, Kensey Hall in Daniell Court, Truro TR1 2HU.

The new class will be starting on Wednesday 1st October and will be every Wednesday evening from 7:30-9pm.

New St Just Tai Chi classes

There will be a new club opening in St Just from Thursday 20th March teaching Tai Chi and Chi Gung evening classes every Thursday from 7:30-9pm.

The club will be at the Weslyan Methodist Chapel Hall in Chapel Road, St Just.

The teacher is Martin Mellet who has recently moved to St Just, he was previously teaching a Tai Chi class in Coventry.

There will be a new class opening on 28th February in Truro at the Ben Ainslie sports centre at Truro School in Trennick lane, Truro, TR1 1TH.

Friday evenings 7:30-9pm, the teacher is Steve Hawker.

New Tuesday mornings T’ai Chi class in Helston

We have booked a new class in Helston on Tuesday mornings from 10.30am to midday every week.

The venue is the Old Cattle Market main hall at the front of the building. This class will be open to beginners and of course to anyone who is already attending the Monday evening class. There will be some dates we will have to miss at first because they are prior bookings (25/2, 18/3, 25/3) but after that we will have a straight through run. If you’re interested in joining the club just turn up on Tuesday morning starting next week 4th February, the class costs £5.

The Spring term 2014 starts on Monday 6th January at Helston

The Penzance club starts again on Tuesday 7th January, kung fu is at 6pm and Tai Chi at 7:30pm

Hayle club is starting back this term on Wednesday 8th January at the new venue the Passmore Edwards Institute

Kung Fu Sunday in St Just Sports Centre

We are doing a day of Kung Fu at the Sports Centre in St Just on Sunday 24th November, 10am-4pm.

Helston Tai Chi and Kung Fu club

 

We have a new venue and day for the Helston club.

Starting on Monday 14th October 2013 the club will be at The Old Cattle Market by the boating lake in Helston.

If you visit the club’s website you will see a Google map if you’re unsure of the directions.

Tai Chi will be from 7.30pm to 9pm.

The class is taught by Chris Simpson from St Just who has been teaching the Taoist Arts since 1983 and was a student of Chee Soo for twelve years, he also publishes Chee Soo’s series of training manuals on the Taoist Arts of the Lee style.

Autumn term 2013 classes

Hayle Tai Chi club
The new term is starting at Hayle with a new teacher and new earlier times.
Rachel who also teaches the Penzance club will be taking over the Hayle club this term, the kung fu will now start at 6 o’clock and the T’ai Chi is from 7:30-9pm. The price is £6 per session.

Penzance Tai Chi club
The Penzance club will be opening again for the new term tonight, kung fu is at 6pm and T’ai Chi at 7:30-9pm.

St Ives Tai Chi club
T’ai Chi classes in St Ives recommence on Monday at the usual time of 7pm.

New: Helston Tai Chi club
There will be a new club opening soon in Helston, we are thinking about doing an evening class at the community hall in Mawgan which is near Culdrose Navy base on the Lizard. We are thinking about possibly Monday evenings at about 6 o’clock. If you have any thoughts about the evening or the time please let us know, we have a Facebook group you can join if you want to stay in contact with the Helston club.

UPDATE: The club has now commenced held at The Old Cattle Market, Kung Fu @6pm Tai Chi @7.30pm

You can drop in to any of our clubs at any time if you are interested in trying T’ai Chi or Feng Shou kung fu, there’s a full list of all the clubs on our Penwith website, beginners are always welcome.

Autumn Term Weekend Courses

We will be doing a weekend course every term from now on at St Just Sports centre, we’ll send out a newsletter about it as soon as the dates have been confirmed, meanwhile for those of you travelling up to the Midlands for courses there’s a new list for this term on the Association’s website.
